This high level event will explore the potential for developing international partnership working between professionals and organisations on the issue of global health, the social determinants of health and equity. This event is hosted by the Health Action Partnership International.
The Health Action Partnership International is a brokerage for countries and organisations looking for professionals with specific skills to address a broad range of health issues and those with the capacity to provide technical assistance, support, training and consultancy to meet their needs. Work is based on joint learning and building sustainable relationships. The partnership also supports network development and manages multi-lateral projects to develop evidence and promote the exchange of good practice. It works closely with UCL to be part of the implementation mechanism for the report on the Commission on the Social Determinants of Health.
The Partnership has a small secretariat in London and representatives in Brussels, India and Africa. A strategic steer for the work is provided by a Global Council. The events will be an opportunity for discussion around key issues with the Global Council members and to meet with them informally at the reception.
