Professor Graham Lister reviews "The G20 and the three global crises: what prospects for global health?" a recent editorial article published in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health by Dr. Roberto De Vogli and Dr. David Gimeno.

This is a socialist rant but one I agree with. The authors attack the global capitalist system and the failure of global governance in both financial management and in ecological and development management.

These responses to the Commission consultation on the Future "EU 2020" Strategy are submitted on behalf of Global Health Europe. The Swedish Presidency of the European Union convened a meeting of high level European global health stakeholders in Stockholm on Friday, 4 December 2009. The meeting was co-organised by the Karolinska Institutet and Global Health Europe. The seminar came at a crucial moment for European engagement in global health; its objective being to give feedback into the European Commission's present work toward a new EU policy on Global Health.
