EU agencies put to the test as origin of deadly E.Coli still a mystery

EU and member state officials discuss reforming the EU Rapid Alert system after both Spanish cucumbers and German beansprouts have been cleared.

The deadly strain of E.Coli bacterium which infected over 1,600 people across 11 member states, leave 22 dead and 700 in serious condition, is testing EU systems for the alert and control of dangerous food products.
